324 Esplanade, Coffin Bay, South Australia. Coffin Bay, named by Matthew Flinders after his friend, botanist Sir Isaac Coffin is situated 45 kilometres west of Port Lincoln on Eyre Peninsula. It has a permanent population of around 600 which swells to over 4,000 in the summer months and at Easter. Idyllic Coffin Bay is a smorgasbord of unspoilt natural inlets, bays and vast waterways with pristine waters and sandy beaches. The town is surrounded by the sea, Coffin Bay National Park and Kellidie Bay Conservation Park.
 
 

How to get there
It is almost a 700 kilometre drive from Adelaide via Port Augusta and Whyalla. Alternatively a 40 minute flight to Port Lincoln Airport - REX Airlines www.rex.com.au fly regular flights to Port Lincoln and return. It is a 35 minute drive from the airport to coffin Bay. Most major car rental companies have vehicles that can be picked up at Pt Lincoln airport.
